ABOUT THE WEEKEND

The Lake Champion Men’s Weekend creates a space for men to step away from daily pressure, slow down, and reconnect with God, themselves, and other men. Whether you’ve walked with Jesus for years, feel distant, or aren’t sure what you believe, you’re welcome here.

Our Purpose

We call it a Weekend, not a Retreat, because we want every man—believing, lukewarm, or unsure—to feel comfortable and open to engaging at his own pace.

For almost 40 years, this weekend has helped men:

  • Reset their priorities

  • Strengthen relationships

  • Grow spiritually

  • Build meaningful friendships

  • Experience fun and adventure

  • Encounter Jesus in a pressure-free environment

WEEKEND FORMAT

The weekend is built around five powerful main sessions led by nationally recognized men’s speakers. These sessions take place throughout the weekend, offering meaningful teaching and practical direction for every man. On Saturday, participants can tailor their experience by choosing three breakout sessions from a lineup of six to eight topics. These breakouts speak directly to the challenges men navigate today—marriage, fatherhood, pornography and purity, identity and purpose, leadership, forgiveness, and the mental and emotional battles that shape daily life.

Free Time

Every afternoon between lunch & dinner: Canoeing • Tubing • Zip Line • High Ropes • Giant Swing • Rock Wall • Frisbee Golf • Biking • Running • Hiking • Fishing • Quiet reflection spaces

Everything is included in your registration cost.

SPIRITUAL BACKGROUND & PURPOSE

  • Priority One is non-denominational.

We welcome men from all denominations—and men from any spiritual background.

Our Statement of Faith is available on the Priority One website.

  • We intentionally avoid the word “retreat” because it often implies a church-only event.

This weekend is meant to feel welcoming, non-threatening, and open to:

    • Believing men

    • Lukewarm or searching men

    • Men who have never attended a church event

The goal: create an environment where all men can grow together.
